Community

We are an active participant in the communities in which we live and work. Our company and staff members are involved with many professional and business organizations and charities.

As a company we are strong believers in corporate responsibilty and the need to give back to the community.  We have done so in a number of ways with the donation of both time and money. We support many charities and have a company matching program for staff members that wish to provide regular donations to the charities we support.

While we are proud and active supporters of a number of local charities and community events, we are currently most active with the following organizations:

C-FAX Santas Anonymous Society - A charity that servces the needs of children and families in our community year round.  The Christmas Program provides wishes and hampers to over 1070 children and their families each year. C-FAX Santas Anonymous Society endeavours to make the Christmas "spirit of giving” continue throughout the year through its Grant Program, which is available to projects dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in need in Greater Victoria.

BC Cancer Foundation - We support the research activities at the BC Cancer Foundation's research facility, which is adjacent to the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria.  This facility provides leading edge research on several forms of cancer.  We are actively involved in their annual Jingle Mingle fundraiser held in December of each year.

Sandy Merriman House - Sandy Merriman House is a shelter for homeless and inadequately housed women in our community that is run by the Victoria Cool Aid Society.  They have emergency beds as well as a daytime drop in  facility for serving nutritious meals, providing laundry and shower facilities, hygiene supplies, clothing, programs such as Reiki, arts and crafts and support and referrals. Our staff is actively involved in supporting this charity.

Nanaimo

We have recently begun operating in the Nanaimo-Qualicum areas. We expect to open an office in the region in 2012 and will be looking for a Nanaimo based charity to support as well.
